Project Assessment and Remediation
Only 35% of all software projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet user requirements
- 2006 Chaos Report, The Standish Group.

An unfortunate reality of the IT world is that despite the best of intentions, the most skilled resources, and the best processes, 65% of projects face significant challenges. These challenged projects start going “yellow” and without serious intervention to bring them back to a “green” status they end up becoming “red”. A proper assessment of such a challenged project must include an in depth evaluation of both project management and technical aspects since in many cases the obvious symptoms such as the architecture not satisfying requirements are not indicative of the underlying root cause such as an incomplete WBS or inadequate change management.
